PREFACE
The College has established a Committee for the welfare of SC/ST students, with the Principal serving as the Chairman. This dedicated committee is tasked with overseeing the well-being of students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Its primary objective is to ensure the effective implementation of various schemes initiated by the UGC, Government of India, and State Government, particularly concerning scholarships and stipends.
The Committee is committed to advancing the special interests of students in the reserved category and addressing challenges faced by them. It actively promotes social equality through the educational upliftment of socially backward classes.
Functioning as a catalyst for empowerment, the SC/ST Committee engages in educating students belonging to these categories about government schemes, policies, and programs. Furthermore, it provides assistance in navigating career opportunities.
Objectives:
Offer counselling and guidance to SC/ST students, aiding them in effectively managing both academic and personal challenges during their college experience.
Establish a secure and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of safety and well-being for all SC/ST students.
Provide timely counselling services to address any emotional emergencies arising from events on campus.
Implement a grievance redressal mechanism to address and resolve concerns raised by SC/ST students
Ensure the protection and reservation rights as enshrined in the Constitution of India for SC/ST students.
Facilitate special opportunities aimed at enhancing the career growth of SC/ST students
Raise awareness among SC/ST students about various scholarship programs offered by the State Government.
Take proactive measures and follow-up actions to achieve the objectives and targets outlined by the Government of India.
Functions:
Collecting reports and information on state government orders pertaining to various aspects of education and employment for SC, ST, and OBC students.
Disseminating state government decisions regarding different scholarship programs to the relevant stakeholders.
